Starlings directors convention wraps in SD
It seems the following comment by our Starlings club director from Indianapolis, Michelle Brittain-Watts says it best:
“What a wonderful day, the Director’s Convention 2013! So much excitement and passion for the cause! Stay strong and focused, the reward is greater than the struggle!”

Berea College scholarship opportunities
Conan Brooks, the new head volleyball coach for Berea College in Berea, KY, is recruiting. “Berea is a wonderful and diverse school on the foothills of Appalachia. We are very well known for our history and our academics,” Brooks said in an email.
Once accepted, all Berea students are given a full scholarship, which also includes a laptop. In order to qualify, students must earn above a 20 on their ACT test, but they also need to earn about $48,000 or less for a family of four. “This could be a wonderul opportunity for students looking to go to college without the worry of tuition or student debt,” Brooks added.

Images of tournament’s final day online
A fiercely competitive final day of competition was the perfect ending to the 2011 Starlings Volleyball National Tournament. Hundreds of photos were shot over the three days of competition, and that doesn’t include the fun had at the Opening Ceremony! Featured here are over 100 from the final day at Alliant University.

Did you see it? Starlings on TV!
Perhaps you weren’t awake at 6:40 in the morning on Friday, June 17. But Starlings from the Oceanside and Oakland teams were not just out of bed, but getting a taste of how a morning news segment is produced.
San Diego 6 News in the Morning’s Ruben Galvan made a special visit to Alliant University to preview the 2011 Starlings National Tournament, which was also featured on the 10 p.m. broadcast. Thanks to Ruben for his support!
