Middle School Tryouts for 12s, 13s, and 14s

Location: Warner Park Community Recreation Center

1625 Northport Drive Madison, WI 53704

Sunday October 4th

11:30am- Registration Starts
12:00-2:00pm- 12 year old tryouts
2:30-4:30- 13 and 14 year old tryouts

Wednesday October 7th

5:00- Registration starts
5:30-7:30- Make up tryout for 12, 13, and 14 year olds

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Please complete ALL of these steps prior to tryouts!

PRINT & COMPLETE LIABILITY WAIVER & MEDICAL FORM

at bottom of page, please write the date, player’s name, parent/guardian name, and then parent/guardian signature

Register WITH USA VOLLEYBALL

A tryout membership will be needed for tryouts. bring your Membership card, or a photo/screenshot of it, to tryouts

Requirements for Tryouts

Please do these ahead of time and arrive 30 minutes before tryouts to check in! If you cannot do any part of this ahead of time, you must arrive one hour early for tryouts.

Medical Release form (please bring insurance information to tryouts if this is not completed)
USAV Badger Region tryout membership (bring your Membership card (or a photo/screenshot of it) to tryouts). You will need to tell us what email address you used for signing up for Sportsengine.
If you quality for Free/Reduced Lunch please email madisonstarlings@gmail.com for assistance with registering.

Requirements for Team Offer

Full Junior Membership in Badger Region
Complete required Concussion Training/Acknowledgement (State of Wisconsin)
Parent Fact Sheet
Athlete Fact Sheet
Parent/Athlete Acknowledgement
Review USA Volleyball SafeSport
Review the Madison Starling Handbook
Pay dues and/or sign up for volunteer events in lieu of dues

Announcements

Madison Starlings Fledglings Program

We have a 4 week youth program on Friday evenings in an upcoming month for grades 3-6th. This program is to introduce kids to the basics of volleyball rules and skills and more importantly to have fun!

All genders welcome

Locations: LaFollette High School – Gymnasium Entrance. 702 pflaum rd madison

Dates: Sept 18th, Sept 25th, Oct 2nd, and Oct 9th.

Times: Recommended arriving @ 5:30pm to sign in, put on name tag, circle warm up, enter the gym at 5:45pm.

Cost: $75 per child to attend all sessions (includes a t-shirt)

*if this cost is a barrier to participation, please reach out to madisonstarlings@gmail.com.
