Daniel Patterson

A graduate of San Diego State University. A member of the USA’s Mens National Volleyball Team from 1965-1975. Danny competed in the 1968 Olympics and was captain of the 1972 Olympic Volleyball Team. In 1976 following his volleyball career he co-founded the restaurant concept Paradise Bakery & Café. As CEO he built it into a highly respected national chain, and in 2008 he sold the concept to Panera Bread. His company has sponsored a number of Starling teams, and both of his daughters have coached Starlings. He uses his volleyball experience and business knowledge to help the executive team implement the Starlings vision.
