What began in 1996 as a bold idea by Kim Oden and Byron Shewman has grown into a national movement impacting thousands of young girls. Their decision to start Starlings Volleyball opened doors for underrepresented athletes and created a lasting legacy of opportunity, mentorship, and empowerment.
