Equipment & Product Partnerships

Starlings Volleyball USA maintains partnerships with trusted equipment and product providers to support clubs in delivering safe, high-quality volleyball programs while helping to manage costs.

These partnerships are intended to provide value to Starlings Clubs through preferred pricing, reliable products, and alignment with the organization’s standards.

Director’s Responsibility: Directors should be aware of available partnerships and are encouraged to utilize these resources when appropriate to support their club operations.

Important Reminder: These partnerships are designed to support consistency, safety, and affordability across the organization.

Purpose of Partnerships

Starlings equipment and product partnerships are established to:

  • provide access to high-quality volleyball equipment
  • support safe and effective training environments
  • offer preferred or discounted pricing when available
  • create consistency across Starlings programs
  • reduce the burden on Directors when sourcing equipment

Equipment & Product Partners

Starlings Volleyball USA works with the following equipment and product partners:

  • Sports Imports: net systems and court equipment
  • Molten: official volleyballs and equipment
  • Baden: volleyballs and training equipment
  • Hudl: video analysis, athlete development, and recruiting tools

Additional partnerships may be introduced and communicated by the Starlings National Office.

Use of Equipment

Directors are responsible for ensuring that all equipment used in their programs:

  • is safe and appropriate for athlete use
  • is properly maintained and in good condition
  • meets basic volleyball standards for training and competition
  • is suitable for the age and skill level of participants

Safety Requirement: Unsafe or damaged equipment should not be used and must be repaired or replaced immediately.

Purchasing Guidance

While use of specific equipment partners is not mandatory (unless otherwise specified), Directors are strongly encouraged to consider Starlings partners when purchasing equipment.

Benefits may include:

  • access to preferred pricing
  • known product quality and reliability
  • alignment with Starlings program standards
  • streamlined purchasing support

Partnership Protection Requirement: Do not share Starlings pricing or partner discounts with non-Starlings individuals or organizations. These partnerships are built on trust, and Starlings Clubs are privileged to receive this support.

Director Responsibility: Make purchasing decisions that prioritize safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness while protecting the integrity of Starlings partnerships.

Best Practice Tip: Purchasing through recommended partners can reduce risk and ensure consistency across programs.

Ordering Process

Directors may contact the Starlings National Office for:

  • current partner pricing
  • ordering information
  • product recommendations
  • introductions to partner representatives

Resource: Ordering information and contact details may be provided through the Director Hub or National Office communication.

Equipment Planning

Directors should plan ahead to ensure equipment needs are met prior to the start of the season.

This includes:

  • assessing equipment needs (balls, carts, nets, training tools)
  • budgeting for equipment purchases (see Financial Management section)
  • confirming the availability of facility-provided equipment
  • ordering equipment with sufficient lead time

Best Practice Tip: Conduct an equipment inventory review before each season to identify needs early.
