How to join

2026-27 Season

See below for the registration steps required prior to tryouts!

2026-2027 Summer Tryouts

  • Who: Girls 17s, 16s, 15s, 14s, 13s, 12s
  • *Girls only for summer tryouts (new Badger Region regulation)
  • Dates: Sunday July 19th, Tuesday July 21st and Sunday July 26th
  • Location: Goodman Community Center, Warner Park Community Center and LaFollette High School

Wave Times: 9:30am – 11:15am (Middle School) 5:45 pm – 7:30 pm (12s – 17s) 9:30am – 11:15am (Middle School)
  11:45am – 1:30pm (High School)   11:45am – 1:30pm (High School)

Please complete ALL of these steps prior to tryouts!

PRINT & COMPLETE LIABILITY WAIVER

at bottom of page, please write the date, player’s name, parent/guardian name, and then parent/guardian signature

Register WITH USA VOLLEYBALL 

A tryout membership will be needed for tryouts. bring your Membership card, or a photo/screenshot of it, to tryouts

Requirements for Tryouts

Please do these ahead of time and arrive 30 minutes before tryouts to check in! If you cannot do any part of this ahead of time, you must arrive one hour early for tryouts.

  • Madison Starlings Club Registration Form 2026 -2027
  • Liability Waiver
  • Medical Release form (please bring insurance information to tryouts if this is not completed)
  • USAV Badger Region tryout membership (bring your Membership card (or a photo/screenshot of it) to tryouts). You will need to tell us what email address you used for signing up for Sportsengine.
  • If you quality for Free/Reduced Lunch please email madisonstarlings@gmail.com for assistance with registering.

Requirements for Team Offer

  • Full Junior Membership in Badger Region
  • Complete required Concussion Training/Acknowledgement (State of Wisconsin)
  • Parent Fact Sheet
  • Athlete Fact Sheet
  • Parent/Athlete Acknowledgement
  • Review USA Volleyball SafeSport
  • Review the Madison Starling Handbook
  • Pay dues and/or sign up for volunteer events in lieu of dues

Announcements

We have a 5 week youth program on Friday evenings in an upcoming month for grades 3-6th. This program is to introduce kids to the basics of volleyball rules and skills and more importantly to have fun!

All genders welcome

Locations: LaFollette High School and East High School
Dates:  to be determined

Times: 5:45pm – 6:45pm

Cost: $75 per child to attend all sessions (includes a t-shirt)

*if this cost is a barrier to participation, please reach out to madisonstarlings@gmail.com.
