Getting started as a Starlings Coach
- Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older (junior coaches - see below)
- Pass a USAV or JVA background screen (see your Club Director)
- Complete USAV Safe Sport or JVA APS Training (see your Club Director)
- Participate in Starlings VB USA Positive Coaching Alliance Training (Club Director will have more information)
- Complete a League Apps Coach Membership form (link is available from your Club Director)
- Preferred Experience

- Coach experience at the middle school, high school or club level or above
- Experience coaching can be substituted by collegiate and/or professional playing experience
- Dedication and commitment to coaching girls and to your community

Junior Coaches
- If you are 17 years or younger and would like to coach a Starlings Volleyball club team; please contact your Starlings Club Director
- Requirements of a Junior Coach with Starlings
- Must be at least 15-17 years old
- Must coach a team that is at least 2 years or more younger than you
- Must be on the court at all times with a background screened adult coach or volunteer who has completed a background screen and either PCA/ATS training as well as PCA training for the club
- May not coach solo/alone at anytime on the practice court or during a game without an adult Club Director or adult Starlings Coach
